TL;DR, a platform that turns long-form video streams into bite-sized, shareable highlights, was gearing up for its public debut on Product Hunt, a community where first impressions decide your trajectory. They needed a launch asset that could instantly communicate the product’s value, feel native to the tech-savvy PH audience, and spark enough excitement to cut through a crowded feed of daily launches. That meant distilling a complex, AI-driven workflow into a story anyone could grasp, in under three minutes.
Research showed that gamers respond viscerally to narratives of “power-up” and discovery, so we framed the EX321UX as a spacecraft ready for take-off. The design language of its vented rear housing informed a rocket-inspired story arc: ignition (LED bloom), ascent (panels sliding apart to reveal Mini-LEDs), and orbit (immersive color nebulae symbolising 99 % DCI-P3). Stylised UI overlays called out PixSoul Engine, KVM hot-swap and HDR1000 while cosmic set-pieces kept the energy high. By balancing swagger with spec-clarity, we positioned the monitor as the obvious upgrade path for AAA console gamers.
Working in a sprint, we scripted, storyboarded, and produced the video in just two weeks. Our team blended captured founder footage with layered UI animations and macro transitions to keep energy high and retention strong. A modular file structure let TL;DR swap screenshots as the product evolves without re-rendering the entire piece, future-proofing their launch asset.
Debuting across BenQ’s YouTube, Instagram and the EX321UX product page, the video became their top-performing monitor launch asset of 2024, generating six-figure organic views and the brand’s highest click-through-to-buy rate of the year (specific conversion figures are confidential). Internal feedback was equally strong: BenQ’s North America marketing lead called the piece “a new standard for how we present our products,” and the format has since been adopted as the template for forthcoming MOBIUZ launches. Beyond metrics, the film crystallised BenQ’s narrative of “unveiling the unseen,” turning raw specs into an emotive story that gamers remember.
